Who is behind this?

Hello, I ‘m Serena Simmons the founder and owner of Origin. Origin is the result of many years of pondering how I could turn the things I am passionate about into a way of life?

During the day I work as a psychology lecturer in a local university.  Though I love my job which is so rewarding and really creative, Origin is my ‘outlet’, my passion, the thing I love to focus on at the end of a long day. 

Since I can remember I have always created things, from the little paintings I would paint when I was young, to the restored furniture and hand sewn pieces that are now floating around my house.  I’ll basically turn my hand to anything that needs ‘making’.  This website is not only a portal to my business and shop, but it will also give you access to my blog in which I will tell you about my day to day activities….this means anything could pop up!  My life isn’t perfect and it’s often hard working full time and running a business.  I hope to give you a little insight into the madness behind the scenes...maybe you will stay a while and have a browse!
